Criminal action by PRODISS against VIAGOGO

PRODISS, the French Union for live shows professionals, alongside several live shows organisers, is filing a criminal complaint against VIAGOGO and bringing a civil action.

This criminal action will trigger public proceedings with the appointment of an investigating judge and the opening of a judicial inquiry. The complainant live shows organisers regularly observe that many tickets for live shows they produce are regularly offered for sale on the VIAGOGO website.

In France, the law of March 12, 2012 prohibits the marketing of access rights for live shows without the authorisation of the live show organiser, an essential first step in that it allows for the punishment of illegal marketing practices observed on these platforms. However, given the industrial organisation of these platforms, other actions and means must be deployed to put an end to these practices.

It is in this context that PRODISS has created the #FanPasGogo awareness campaign.
