PRODISS, the national trade association for the music and live entertainment sector, together with several live entertainment producers, has filed a criminal complaint against VIAGOGO and joined the proceedings as a civil party.

This criminal action will trigger the public prosecution process through the appointment of an investigating judge and the opening of a judicial investigation. The producers bringing the complaint regularly find that a very large number of unlawful offers for tickets to concerts they produce are habitually offered for sale on the VIAGOGO website.

In France, the law of March 12, 2012 prohibits the resale of live entertainment tickets without the authorization of the event producer. This was an essential first step, as it makes it possible to sanction unlawful resale practices observed on these platforms. However, given the industrial scale and organization of these platforms, further legal action and additional measures are needed to put an end to these practices.

It was in this context that PRODISS launched the #FanPasGogo public awareness campaign.
